We currently outsource this to an accounting firm but hoping there is a WJ parent with this expertise who could help us file our returns, working directly with the Treasurer.
Social Media
Continue to build our online presence, primarily on Instagram, complementing the WJ school store IG account, and coordinating with WJ clubs and teams to generate followers. Knowledge of Instagram and Canva (or other graphics programs) is needed.
Newsletter
We have a great template for our monthly newsletter but need someone who knows graphics and Constant Contact to keep it rolling!
Appreciation
We would like to support the MCPS initiative to host "Coaches & Officials Appreciation Week" (1 week per sports season), and need a coordinator to put the pieces in place.
Fundraising Committees
Both Boosters fundraisers take place in March with January & February as the planning months (very little happens the rest of the year). They are ideally set up to be run by Co-Chairs with large committees to support the myriad of tasks needed. Find a friend and work together to make a huge impact at WJ!
Mulch Sale: It takes a team of 10-12 people to put the pieces in place, plus 150 parents & 500 students on the delivery weekend. March is busy until the delivery weekend (March 13-14, 2026) but it is "crickets" the rest of the year!

Used Book Sale: We have a committee of parents to put all of the pieces in place. Most of the organizing takes place in January & February, and is completed when the last books are donated on the day after the sale closes. The Used Book Sale will be Feb 28-Mar 1, 2026.

Work with the WJ athletic specialist to build, maintain a communications channel between coaches and Boosters to ensure teams have resources they need.
